We spent a pleasant five days in beautiful and very special Barcelona. Unfortunately crippled by tourism run amok, the proud Catalans still retain their traditions and beautiful language. We of course loved the Sagrada Familia and the Picasso museum, after that tour we even had a snack (wine) at the famous 4 Cats with some American friends. From there we ambled up the Rambla to the Plaça de Catalunya discussing the events in Charlottesville, VA, where a human decided to use a vehicle as a murder weapon against innocent people protesting injustice and racism. Only two days later a human being decided to terrorize beautiful Barcelona in the same way. We still celebrate Barcelona and wish the city and its people well in recovery from tourism and terrorism. We also wish them all the best in their upcoming referendum.
